We are pleased to announce a Jazz festival on the 26th (eve), 27th & 28th of June 2009.
This fantastic weekend event costs just £99 per couple/family or £69 per single person and includes 3 nights camping and all facilities. (Sauna £1 per person per session)
Friday 26th June

Gary Potter Quartet
The Garry Potter Trio was one of the most talked about acts at last years festival. Due to popular demand Garry is back, but this time with a quartet featuring Mike Piggott on violin, Bill Coleman on bass and Felix Bellingham on guitar.
Frank Toms Trio with Art Theman & Ronnie Hughes
Frank Toms Trio were the backbone of our festival last year and we are lucky to have them back with another favourite, the award winning Art Theman on sax and Ronnie Hughs, one of the UK's finest, on trumpet.

With Bran Lawrence (banjo), Max Emmins (trumpet), Steve Howlett (reeds), Paul Busby (sousaphone) and Graham Colcott from the Temperance Seven on drums.

Steve Waterman & Valisis Xenopoulous with the Frank Toms Trio
Steve is renowned as one of the top British jazz trumpet players both at home and on the international scene. Valisis graduated form Phillipos Nakas Conservatory in Athens as a saxophonist but also won a scholarship for the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston MA.

Alan Barnes Quintet
Alan is one of Britain's most renowned and well-loved saxophonists, He has played in bands with a wide range of jazz styles including the Pasadena Roof orchestra, Humphrey Lyttleton, The Charlie Watts Tentet and the Pizza Express Modern Jazz Sextet, This year Alan is back with his own quintet featuring Bruce Adams on Trumpet.
Sunday 28th June

Morning service with music by with Hugh Crozier
A lively thanks-giving service led by our resident reverend, Trevor, with music from the popular pianist, Hugh Crozier.

Lunchtime with Hugh Crozier
Hugh Crozier is one of the foremost authorities on early jazz piano and is a fine exponent of ragtime piano playing both original composition and many of the classic tunes.

Jack Honeybourne Trio with Enrico Tomasso & Willie Garnet
Jack Honeybourne played for many years with Vera Lyn but jazz was always his first love and he is acknowledged as one of the finest on the London scene. Willie Garnet is the top saxophone repair man in the country but is also one of the top players who has worked with the great including Ben Webster and Bob Wilbur. Enrico is considered one of the top jazz trumpeters on the jazz scene and has just won best trumpet category in the British Jazz Awards.

Jazz Poetry and Trombone by Paul Taylor
A very interesting addition to our festival this year. Paul, who plays with Mick Collins Jazz Orchestra is also a very fine poet in the true Tradition of Jack K and Alan G.

Mick Collins 16 piece Jazz Orchestra
16 excellent pieces of fine musicianship. Mick Collins personnel vary but regulars include some of the country's top jazz and session men (and women) and there are certainly no passengers. Mick's library includes standards and originals, some classic arrangements and some specially crafted for the band.
